The beauty of what some do, Turning the useless into useful. A now-defunct shop display mannequin, disposed of after being deemed not to have any further useful purpose, further rendering it useless to anyone else by taking a saw to it and decapitating it.
Simply a symptom of the fast and disposable era that we live in and of the wastefulness that has been normalised alongside the disposability of everything.This head was part of a number that was earmarked for disposal by a fashion store that had closed down, and disposal contractors had been tasked with getting rid of whatever contents were left on the shop floor.
As well as four mannequin heads, dress displays, and half-body wall hangers, have all been remade into bespoke, newly functional items for the home.
